A while back, the American Association for Justice (AAJ), released a report about insurance company tricks that are often used to avoid paying claims. Do you know what tricks made the list? Among the many tactics utilized was the deliberate delay of payments. Some of the biggest insurance companies are guilty of using this trick on consumers - one of our recent clients is an example.
Another delay attempt by an insurance company.
Our client received a letter from one of the largest insurers, requesting the ICD-9 and CPT codes for his doctor visits. These codes are not found on medical bills. Keep in mind, our client had been in a Virginia car accident and had gathered all of the necessary paperwork needed to settle his claim, such as his medical bills, employment records and so on. This letter from the insurance company arrived weeks afterward.
The truth of the matter is that the jury will not need these codes. More than likely, this was just another deliberate delay tactic by the insurance company.
Watch out for insurance company tricks.
There are a lot of things you need to watch out for following a Virginia car accident, including insurance company tricks. If a serious injury resulted from the crash, it would be wise to at least talk to a Virginia personal injury attorney.

It depends on the company. Some charge a cancellation fee and some don't. And, most of the time it doesn't matter if you in the middle of the contract or at the end.
